A Blog Named Hero Challenge #2 - Personalise

Good morning!

Welcome to the second challenge from A Blog Named Hero.
For this challenge, we like you to personalize your card, notebook.....
I have personalised a card of course. My son is going on a school tour to Italy later this year. I thought I will sneak in a card with some lovely message in his suitcase. He will feel loved when he find it and reads the message :) Since he does not read my blog, I am safe to post the card. This is my card.

Dream Big Sid

The background for this card is inspired by an ad I saw in one of the airports. I loved it instantly and too a photo of it. I personalised the background using the tiny images from Here & There Come Fly with Me stamp set from Hero Arts/Studio Calico. I stamped a few in Soft Granite Shadow ink then the others in red ink. I love the contrast. For the focal sentiment, I stamped the "Dream Big" from Hey Day sentiment stamp set also from Hero Arts/Studio Calico. I stamped my son's name using  Stepping Stone Alphabet stamp set from Hero Arts/Studio Calico. I have layered the sentiment panel with a red panel and adhered using foam adhesives.

It gives me great pleasure to be able to stamp and create my own background. And to personalize the card for my son makes me more happy :)

Come and play along the challenge. Our fabulous sponsor Simon Says Stamp is the sponsor of the winner prize.

Love you more!

I'm back! Yes! so thrilled to be back after two weeks of holiday in New Zealand. It is one of the beautiful country I have seen. I travel a lot. The landscapes are amazing and people are so warm and welcoming. We flew, drove, took the train, the coach, rode bicycles, segway, cruised, walked admiring and enjoying the beauty of the country. I will post some photos from the trip soon here.

I got back into the routine of making cards after two weeks. It was hard to get back into crafting after such a long break. The drive is there but creativity does not flow as it normally would. But nothing like getting some new goodies in the mail. They always bring back the creativity. I received some new release Valentine Stamps and dies from Penny Black. The stamp sets are so cute especially the Mimi's  collection. The dies are super adorable. I have a card today using Mimi's Love and So Very Much stamp sets from Penny Black.

Here is my card.

Love you more card 1

I wanted to colour the Mimi images as soon as I saw them. So on my card here, I stamped and coloured one of the image from the stamp set using copic markers. Then stamped the sentiment. I let the colour image be the star of the show.

Love you more closeup

After colouring, I added  glossy accents on those tiny red hearts to give them some dimension. How you can see it on the picture below.

Have you seen the Valentine Penny Black release? They are awesome and adorable. There are ten dies and six stamp sets released. I will be sharing more cards using the Penny Black Valentine release on my blog this month. Here is the link to Penny Black shop if you like to have a looksy!

Curtain Call Challenge - Soft Scarf

This challenge is sponsored by HERO ARTS.

Hero Arts generously provided couple of stamp sets to our design team members to use for this challenge. I chose Family and Friends stamp set and Stamp and Cut - The Fox Says. I love the trees in the Family and Friends and everything in The Fox Says stamp set. I decided to use both the stamp sets to make my card for the challenge below.

Hello card2

I used the colours from the Soft Scarf challenge graphics on my card. I stamped and heat embossed the trees from Family and Friends stamp set using three different blue pigment inks from Memento Luxe range. I like to use pigment inks for colour heat embossing. Then I die cut the mount using MFT dies upon which I stamped the border stamp from The Fox Says in a navy blue. I adhered this on to the card panel using foam adhesives. I stamped, coloured and cut out the fox. The sentiment is from Hooray stamp set also from Hero Arts. Finally accented with some sequins from Pretty Pink Posh. I have used Corn Flower, Aquamarine and Pink Blush sequins. Here is a closeup!

Pretty Pink Posh 1st birthday celebration blog hop!

Hey folks,

Pretty Pink Posh is celebrating its FIRST birthday. Hooray!

What a milestone for Paulina? Three cheers and congratulations to Paulina for her hard work. I am lucky to be part of her journey as design team member. It has been a pleasure and privilege to work with Paulina's Pretty Pink Posh. She is a wonderful person to work with. Not to mention the gorgeous sequins and dies in her shop.

For the past two days, Pretty Pink Posh has been celebrating the 1st birthday with blog hop featuring some very talented designers. Today is the third day of the hop with some more talented designers in the list featuring Pretty Pink Posh's new die release.

There are three dies released today - Peek A Boo, Stitched Duo 3 and Pocket Border Die.

I have used the lovely curved tag die from Stitched Duo 3 die set to make my card.

celebrate card1

I have used both the tag die cut and its negative on my card. I used the negative as a window and the tag with the gorgeous stitched detail as the focal point. I have sponged the tag with distress inks - Broken China, Salty Ocean and Dusty Concord. Thats one beautiful curved tag. Did I mention that before? I then sprayed the tag with Tsukineko's Sparkle shimmer. Then spattered with some water, Frost spray from Tsukineko and white Mr. Huey to give more texture on the background. The tag looks beautiful. I then stamped and coloured the girl with the cupcake from Cake & Wishes stamp set from Penny Black using copic markers. Brushed the skirt and the cream on the cupcake with Wink of Stella. Birthday celebrations need lots and lots of sparkle and shine :) I cut this image out by hand and adhered on the tag using foam adhesive.

Celebrate closeup

I then nested this tag inside the negative panel which I had already adhered on the white card base using foam adhesives. The sentiment is from Penny Black Celebrations die set which I die cut a few in green cardstock to coordinate with the girl's top and one with black cardstock. I stacked and glued all of them with the black die cut on the bottom to give shadow effect. I then added a gold sheer bow. I think is card is perfect for birthday celebrations.

Now since this is a blog hop, you should have come from the talented Elena Roussakis's blog.
Here is the full list of the blog hop for you.

There is no birthday celebrations without giveaways. Paulina is generous and is giving away plenty in prizes.

There are sequins pack, all the PPP dies, Big Shot, gift certificates and surprise prizes are well. Also check out Pretty Pink Posh Blog for discount code to Pretty Pink Posh Shop. So make sure you comment on all the blogs in the hops for a chance to win some of these fabulous prizes. Have fun and get inspired.
