Winnie & Walter Share the Love Week - Ombre with Distress Ink

Third post for today. Here is my Curtain Call Inspirational Challenge post. And here is my Runaway Inspired Challenge post.

Welcome to Winnie & Walter Share the Love Day #2 featuring Distress Inks.

Today we are doing Ombre with distress inks. And I have two cards for you to showcase ombre using distress ink. Here is my first card.

Always shine bright

I have used Squeezed Lemon, Mustard Seed, Crushed Olive, Shabby Shutter, Mowed Lawn, Evergreen Bough, Peacock Feathers, Broken China, Salty Ocean, Faded Jeans and Dusty Concord distress inks on my card here. I didn't think of how many distress inks I used while making the card but writing them down, it it a LOT! lol! I sponged them individually on to 2" x 4" white cardstock except Dusty Concord which I sponged to the top of the card base. Then used the fantastic curved stitched die from Pretty Pink Posh's Stitched Border die I to cut the sponged cardstock at various angles. I then assembled and glued them on the card front. The stitched detail on the die adds gorgeous detail and texture to the rainbow layers. I stamped the large sentiment from The Big, the Bold and Fun stamp set from Winnie & Walter on a scrap piece of cardstock using black ink, then cut it out. I foam adhered this large sentiment on the centre of the card front. I then stamped the rectangle outline stamp from Scenery: Rectangled and Triangled stamp set on scrap white cardstock, stamped the smaller sentiments inside the stamped rectangle. Cut them out and mounted using foam adhesive. Finally added some 6mm and 4mm Sparkly Clear sequins from Pretty Pink Posh. I love how the rainbow ombre and sequins accent coordinates with the sentiment.

Here is my second card.

Thanks so much

I have done something similar here using the curved stitched die from Pretty Pink Posh's Stitched Border dies I. Here I have done one colour ombre. I used the pinks this time - Picked Raspberry, Worn Lipstick, Spun Sugar and Tattered Rose. I stamped the sentiment along the curve and added some gorgeous Orchid, Peonies, Pink Blush and Sparkly Clear 6mm and 4mm sequins from Pretty Pink Posh. The sentiment is from The Big, the Bold and You stamp set from Winnie & Walter.

Absolutely love the shades of yellow, blue and green on your first card - and the sparkle with the sequins is super. The sequins on your second card look like bubbles in the air. Both are just fabulous!
