This layout I made for one of Deb’s challenges in www.debscreations.net.au
The challenge says: SOMETHING NEW, SOMETHING OLD, SOMETHING BORROWED, SOMETHING BLUE
Yep, it is a Wedding Layout!!!!
You can scrap with any colours you like, any embellies you like, any title you like & of anybody's wedding you like!
BUT............ you must use the Shabby Chic style.
Ok,............... I like shabby chic
but to use it on the layout was like “Ok, how am I going to do that?”
So I visited one of my local stores called “Bella Chic”.
The sell shabby chic style furniture and other items. One visit and I was full of ideas.
Here is the description of my layout:
- I edited my SIL’s wedding photo using software into sepia and antique effects and printed it out (of course in Kmart)
- I then collected all coordinating PPs. The background paper is from Making Memories, I think,.........I am not sure...... the other piece is from Basic Grey and one more die cut paper I had for a very long time. Then the white card stock. I distressed all of them using Tim Holtz’s Ranger Antique Linen ink and curled the edges.
- I then stitched them on to the background paper.
- I distressed the photo using "scissors distressing technique" and layered the photo on top of the coordinating papers.
- Flowers are from Green Tara and some misc flowers from my stash. They all had a shower of "Glimmer Mist Meadow Green".All layered using double sided foam.I have also decorated the flowers with Kaiser bling black and lime green.
- Flourishes are from my stash. Stuck using double sided foam to pop it out and given some added interest using Kaiser pearls.
- Rub ons from Pink Paislee and decorated with Kaiser Pearls for added interest and as the decorated strings for the chandelier (inspiration from the chandelier I saw at my local shop).
- I used my die cuts from stash as the Chandeliers. I inked them with Brilliance Dew Drop Platinum Planet Ink and then heat embossed them using clear embossing powder. They are also decorated with kaiser Pearls to give the "lit" effect.
- The title is simple "Love" from K & Co blue awning chipboard stickers. and blue ribbon from my stash.
