Wow! I am participating in Papertrey Ink Blog Hop after a very very long time. I used to be a regular but then things became very busy and never got a chance to participate. And this is the first time ever I am able to use Papertrey Ink release stamps on the release month blog hop. I received my package in a week's time. I am shocked but not complaining. When my doorbell rang and from the other end the man said USPS delivery. I couldn't believe! I said to him, "say that again?" lol! I am so happy.
So cracked opened the Fancy Folk Art stamp set to make my project for this month's blog hop.

The theme for this month is

Here is my card for the theme.

I have embossed the large Fancy Folk Art image using black embossing powder on black cardstock panel. I then die cut an open circle out of the embossed panel. The same image is stamped using Memento Black Ink on its die cut and coloured using copics. The sentiment is from Pretty Peonies. Love love the bright colours against the black background. And how the embossed images adds texture and subtle pattern to the black card front. Here is a closeup photo of the card.

Hope you like my card. Thanks for stopping by! It is time for me to go to bed because itis 11:00PM!

G' night from Australia.

It is a sketch challenge @ AnnaBelle Stamps today. here is the sketch for you.

Simple beautiful sketch open for various interpretations. And here is my take on the sketch.

I have used the new Standing tall stamp set for my card. The background paper is digital pattern paper from Artichoke Collection from AnnaBelle Stamps. The sparkles and twine are also from AnnaBelle Stamps.
Don't you love that flower cluster? This is a must have set.

CAS-ual Fridays-Mark your marks

Hello Friday!
How quick days fly by! I felt like I just wrote my CAS-ual Fridays Challenge and it has already been a week! Shocking! But that means new challenge for you from us. That is exciting right?
Here is the new challenge.

Use markers on your CAS project this week:) Get innovative and think outside the box if you are up to an adventure:) Love to see what you do with markers
Here is my card for the challenge.

I have used distress makers on my acrylic block and sprayed Mister Huey's Calico Shine mist on it and stamped directly on a white scrap card stock. Love how the colour spreads and give that shimmer. Much awesome in real. I then stamped the flower from Truth is and sentiment from Calm and Gentle Stamp sets from CAS-ual Fridays using Archival Jet Black ink. I framed this panel using Polaroid die cut from PTI. When I framed it, the sentiment was blocked by the frame. So I die cut the sentiment and glued it on top of the frame. The top part of the flower is inside the Polaroid frame and the sentiment strip is on top of the frame. Yet they look like one piece. Hope you like it.

This week's sponsor is Craft's Companion.

The winner gets a Spectrum Noir as the prize. Wow! Lucky you whoever wins it!

CAS(E) this Sketch #12

Hey dear craft friends

There is a new sketch today @ CAS(E) this Sketch Callenge Blog.
Here it is for you.

This sketch is by Lisa Arana.
Looking at the sketch, I said to myself, this is easy! But when I sat down to actually make a card. I was lost. Just couldn't get it right at all. I threw about three cards in the bin before I got this card made.

I used Papertry Ink $5 sets to make this card. They are Think Big Favourites #11, Heart 2 Heart #3 and Crackled Mini Stamp sets. I have tried to get stained glass look using the Crackled Stamp Set. My hubby said it without any prompting. I think I have achieved it. I love the colours as well.

Check out other DT inspirations using this sketch @ CAS(E) this Sketch Blog. Make sure you link your project to the linky.

CASology-Drink!

G'morning!

Thursday here in Australia.  It is a partly cloudy this morning. Loving it. Slept in and just now having my morning coffee. I thought I will blog before I start ironing clothes. Not my favourite chore to do but needs to be done today.

I have a card share for you today. I made this card for CASology challenge-Drink!

My friend Lou sent me this stamp set from MFT a white ago and I didn't have a chance to ink it until now. This challenge was perfect to crack open this set and use. Thanks Lou!

I coloured using copics and found it very relaxing for me. Love the colour combination. Those enamel dots are my favourite next to bling.

Now off to iron clothes:(
