Just don't know

How to title this post! I made a card and some boxes today. I used the sketch from Clean and Simple blog and the colors from the Color challenge from Just Add Ink blog to make the card and the box. So I was stuck when I had to title this post! Also, it evening now and my brain has already retired for the day! Thats the reason for a this title. So please ignore it. lol!

Here is this week's sketch from CAS blog.

And here are the colors from the JAI color challenge.

And here is my take on both the challenges.I have shown only one box and the card here.

Love this color combination. Very pretty. Will definitely use this combination more frequently. I have used products from SU, PTI and Spellbinder's nestabilities. Actually I have made 4 gift boxes. They contain some stamps to give my class girls as thank you gifts. They will be in for a surprise tomorrow.

Awesome challenges. Thanks for the sketch and for the color combination.
Have a great evening. Tomorrow there is a blog hop from Art with Heart team. Make sure you visit my blog to see my project and also hop along as there is a blog candy too.

Melissa's photo challenge

I just can't wait for Melissa's put her photo challenge on her blog. So as soon the photo came up, I was excited to see it. Here is the new photo by Leslie from A Creative Mint that Melissa put up for inspiration.

My first thought was, how feminine and so pretty the photo is! Loved the shades of pink and red on the flowers, the large polka dots, small hint of blue and green. Wow! I immediately pulled out SU's Rose is Rose stamp set and made a background paper for the card using shaded of pink, red and green. Then things just fell into place and Ta... da... the card is completed.lol!

I have used PTI's Aqua Mist, Raspberry Fizz, Kraft card stock, SU's Confetti white cardstock,Bazzill textured white cardstock, Rose is a Rose stamp set from SU, PTI's Fillable frame, Polka Dots Basics II and Butterfly Dreams Stamp sets, Fiskar's border punch, Pink Pirouette, Melon Mambo, Kiwi Kiss ink pads from SU, Spring Moss, Vintage cream and True Black ink pads from PTI and finally  Spring Moss ribbon also from PTI.Here are some of the closeups of the card.

I also added a flower inside of the card as well!

Love the feminine flowery background and enjoyed making them. This is my first feminine pretty looking card.Leslie's photos brings out something different in me everytime. Like it a lot. Hope you like it too. Thanks Melissa for the challenge.

Its a cleaning Sunday today for me. Just finished  the kitchen.Took a break to post this. Now off to folding clothes and then gardening.
You have a great weekend! One more week until Easter holidays for kids. Have to think about what to do during the holidays and plan ahead.  See you soon!

March Blog Hop

Morning everybody,

Its PTI blog hop today.

This month its all about buttons!
"From borders to backgrounds, accents and embellishments, or even incorporating them
into stamp images like any of our Button Bits stamp sets.  From paper projects to home decor to jewelry
and more, the sky's the limit!  We want to see all your very best creations using buttons and the
inspiration we will gain from each other should prove to be truly enticing!"

I love to look at buttons. They look so yum ! Beautiful colors. But it was a challenge to use them creatively other than use them on bows and on cards! I had to think about it a lot and came up with this.

Its a bracelet! I have used Ocean Tides, Spring Moss and True black buttons to make this. Simple and easy to make. Looks awesome when you wear it.

I also made a small envelope using Sizziz die and Bitty Box Basics Spring Moss pattern paper and Studio Style Stamp set to house the bracelet! Now since this is a gift, it also needs a card. Here is the card.

I have used Aqua Mist and True Black cardstock, 2008 Bitty Box Basics Spring Moss pattern paper, Studio Style stamp set, Ocean Tides Ribbon, Spring Moss buttons and Copic markers all from PTI. Border punch from Fiskars and dies from Spellbinders nestabilities.

Here is the card and the bracelet as a gift set.

Hope you like it. I enjoyed making this. My SIL is receiving this next month for her birthday. PTI blog hop is so much fun and each month it gives me the opportunity to make something out of my comfort zone. And I am loving it. Thanks once again for stopping by. Have fun hopping. I know I am.

Have a great evening everybody!

One for two

Hello everybody,

I have one card to share today. Its my entry for two challenges on Splitcoast Stampers. The first challenge is "Try a new technique". This week is to make our own designer paper for the card. The second challenge is "Clean and Simple" challenge in which the colors, Chocolate and Green to be used with White or Cream. Here is my take on both the challenge.

I have used PTI's Dot Spot and Fillable frames stamp set to make this card. Cardstocks, inks and the ribbon from SU. Button from PTI. Rhinestones from Kaisercraft. Here are some closeups.

I love the Dot Spot designer paper, beautiful colors of Chocolate Chip Mint. I also love the Fillable frame stamp set from PTI. You could used any sentiment inside the frame. Thats fantastic. Hope you like the card.

Today was a nice day. Cooled down considerably. Thunderstorm was great. Tomorrow is going to be a similar day. I spent my day today preparing for tomorrow's class and chatting with my friend. No cooking at all. Hehe! Nibbled on junk the whole day!. Gosh! I am going to spend an extra 30 minutes on treadmill tomorrow. But I enjoyed a relaxed day. Now I have to cook dinner.Cannot escape that, Can I? I am hungry too. Fried rice is easy to make. So got to go now before my children start to ask for dinner.
See you tomorrow. You all have a great day!

Just Add Ink Challenge #8

Morning everybody,

A muggy Sunday today. But I like the clouds covering the Sun on a Sunday. Makes you feel relaxed and take things slow. Just hoping it will rain. Being a lazy day today, I decided to sit on my scrapbooking desk and try out some new projects. And Just Add Ink has a challenge for Easter.

Just Add Easter!

There are some awesome Easter projects on their website. Check it out here

Here is my project. I found this funky looking bunny box on Splitcoast Stampers and I loved it first sight. Had to give it a go and here it is.

I have used Urban Oasis paper from SU to make this box, Basic Black ribbon, Tiny Tags stamps and Tiny Tag punch also from SU to punch them out. Button and the thread from my stash. Isn't it cute? I looooove the bunny ears on the box.

I have another project to make. So there will be a second post showcasing another Easter project. So keep an eye out. Until then.

Hugs
