Diwali Blog Hop!

Hi everybody,
Diwali is a major festival of India. It is called Festival of Lights. There are different  mythical stories behind this festival. they vary from one culture to annother in India. Whatever maybe the story behind it, everybody in India celebrates Diwali. I have vivid memory of celebrating this festival as a child, with my mother and grandmother making sweets and savoury about 2 weeks before the day. Buying new clothes, gettng up very early in the morning, lighting up firecrackers, going to temple, sharing sweets with friends and family.... so much fun. I miss it. But atleast I am able to celebrate it with some very talented Indian Crafters. So when Chaitali invited me to the blog hop, I couldn't refuse:) So welcome to the first ever Diwali Blog Hop!

Diwali Blog Hop

If you have come from Smriti's blog, then you are on the right track:)
Today, we are focusing on Diwali cards. Here is my card.

Chaitali had sent a few Silhouette files of diwali movtives and words she had made and I have used them on my card. I cut the diya(lamp) and coloured them using copics. Stamped the background using Ikat background stamp from Avery Elle Stamps. Love the Happy Diwali words which is cut using Silhouette Cameo. What intensity of colours?  Which is exactly what I wanted to achieve. Hope you like it:)

Do you want to see what the rest of them have made? Here is the list of all the blog hop crafters.

Chaitali is also giving away some Silhouette files. So make sure you visit her blog. And if you make a project using her files, make sure you link your project to the linky on her blog:)

Thanks for stopping by!

See you soon with AnnaBelle Stamps Challenge:)
