Final Day to My Favorite Things New Release

Yay! today is the final day of My Favorite Things new release countdown.
Tomorrow is new product launch.

NewReleaseCountdown_Day1

But today I have two nautical themed cards to show you using Go Overboard stamp set and Let's Get Nautical die-namics. Here is the first card.

MFT GDT Feb2014 #1

I went for a very earthy neutral colours with lot of texture. I have stamped the compass on the background, then die cut the circle from the Lets Get Nautical Die-namics using beech wood veneer paper. The wheel is also die cut using wood veneer paper. I have layered them and secured using a sparkly grey brad. I used some thick twine in four layers, made a sailor's knot and added to the card. The sentiment from Go Overboard stamp set is stamped in brown ink. The edges of the sentiment strip and the main panel are roughed up on the edges to give the rustic feel. The completed panel is mounted on kraft cardstock base. I love the texture, colour and the rustic feel of this nautical card.
The next card also uses lots of texture but has a clean modern look to it.

MFT GDT Feb2014 #1

I have used the woodgrain card stock as my base. Then trimmed a smaller kraft panel and rounded the edges. The lifebuoy is made using the die from Lets Get Overboard Die-namics. I have diecut about six of the lifebuoys and glued them together. Added some twine around it. Love the splash of red on the lifebuoy. The sentiment is from Go Overboard stamp set which perfectly coordinates with the Lets Get Nautical die-namics. More cleaner and modern take on the nautical theme. Hope you like my projects today.
